Structurally the Center for Drug Chemistry includes two chemical laboratories
(laboratory of synthesis #1 and laboratory
of synthesis #2), three biological laboratories (pharmacology,
chemotherapy of infectious diseases and
toxicology), a section on pharmacokinetics,
animal facilities, an analytical
chemisitry department with a group of
physical methods, department of development
of forms of medicinal preparations, a department of industrial
technology, a department or research organization, scientific
library and auxiliary subdivisions.
The laboratories and departments of Institute are specially designed
for research and experimental work and are equipped with the necessary
research facilities.
General Director of the Center for Drug Chemistry - Robert Glushkov,
D.Sc., Professor, Member of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Merited
Scientist, Winner of State Prize of USSR and Prize of Ministry Council
of USSR.
